We created El Espejo Magazine in 2018 to provide students a better understanding of the narrative, visual and business aspects of creating and publishing a magazine. As Student Media Director, my role was to secure the faculty/staff lines, the physical lab space, and the technical and financial resources that sustain the ongoing experiential learning opportunity in magazine publishing. The bi-annual magazine is advised by my faculty mentee, Communication lecturer and journalist Donna Pazdera with freelance design consulting and instruction from Rick Fisher. They do great work.
